A Teenager In the House!!

Caleb turned 13 last week!  I can't believe it.  We are so excited to begin this next part of his life.  He is such a wonderful boy, deligent in his schoolwork, helping with chores and his siblings.  I have to say (and I'm not just making this up) Caleb does not grunt or moan or complain when I ask him to take a dirty diaper to the can (for the 3rd time that day) or do the dishes or clean up his room.  He's not perfect, his moaning and groaning usually happen when he's had it up to here with one of his siblings.  But he's such a huge help to me and a blessing to our family. We are hoping that the Lord will give him a special blessing this year.  You can pray for this too. . . There is a clinical trial starting this summer in Portland, OR that uses a virus carrying a good gene to attach to the bad gene and make it all better.  They have had success in animals, they actually regained their vision.  We are blown away! The FDA has approved this gene therapy and they will be taking applications for the clinical trial soon.  Pray that we would have wisdom to know if we should be a part of the trial; that the doctors would have wisdom in their application of this therapy; and that we would lean completely on the Lord and not on men.  Here is a link to the article about the trial if you are interested: http://www.oxfordbiomedica.co.uk/page.asp?pageid=59&newsid=284
